Universal is a very fun and exciting theme park here in central Florida. A lot of our homeowners/vacation guest really enjoy going there. They offer many different rides and opprotunities for everyone in the family! My personal favorite is the Dr. Suess land, they have many rides there for children and adults all abiding by the theme of Dr. Suess books. Universal offers a great Halloween celebration called “Halloween Horror nights.” Halloween horror nights is recommended for adults only, but ensures a lot of scary fun! City walk is attached to universal and host an abundance of nice restraunts, bars, dance clubs, and even a theatre. Universal has two main parks: Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, both of which are a lot of fun for the family.
So, when you are on your central Florida vacation, remember to go to Universal!

Visit Epcot at Disney!

Epcot theme park, one of 4 Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort, sprawls across 300 acres—twice the size of the Magic Kingdom Park—and is divided into Future World and World Showcase.
Future World is full of sensational attractions—including one of the fastest attractions in all Disney Parks—as well as inspiring entertainment and shows, all of which focus on technological advancements, innovation and wonder. In Future World, ideas become reality. The Epcot theme park icon, Spaceship Earth, looking like a giant golf ball rising high above the horizon, welcomes you as you walk through the Park’s main entrance.

Beyond Future World, if entering from the main gate at Epcot theme park, is the World Showcase area. World Showcase is a collective of Pavilions that wrap around the World Showcase Lagoon. Inside the Pavilions, find shops, attractions and restaurants that represent the culture and cuisine of these 11 countries:
• Mexico
• Norway
• China
• Germany
• Italy
• United States
• Japan
• Morocco
• France
• United Kingdom
• Canada
While walking between Pavilions, be amused by live performers—some may even invite you to participate in the show! There’s also plenty of kid-centric entertainment, too, like Disney Character meet and greet locations and Kidcot fun stops.
In Epcot theme park, creativity is encouraged, imagination is celebrated and countries are united.

Orlando’s Newest Water Park- Aquatica

Aquatica (owned by SeaWorld) is the newest water park in central Florida. Aquatica has a number of attractions including five waterslides, two wave pools, two river-based attractions, two kids play-areas, and two animal attractions. The trademark waterslide at Aquatica is Dolphin Plunge, which is an enclosed slide that sends riders through a tube that shoots through a tank filled with Commerson’s Dolphins.

As with most waterparks, it’s important to stake your claim to a beach chair early in the day, and Aquatica is no different. A majority of the chairs are located near the dual wave pools, but there are others scattered around the park that may not have the convenience or sandy beach, but may provide more seclusion. Also, guests can rent a cabana for the day. Cabana rentals include towels, assorted non-alcoholic beverages, and lockers for $150 per day ($175 from Memorial Day – Labor Day). While that may seem expensive, split between 4 people, it may be a convenient way to ensure some privacy and comfort on busy days.

Walhalla Wave and HooRoo Run are a pair of large raft-based slides that are both exciting and worth a try. Tassie’s Twisters are a pair of identical slides that can be fun, but tend to be really low capacity because it takes almost one minute to reach the bottom. Whanau Way is the final slide complex that consists of a pair of enclosed slides that are both very different. There are also smaller slides located in Walkabout Waters, a standard play-area with cargo nets, splashing buckets and water cannons. A series of even smaller slides can be found at Kata’s Kookaburra Cove with a number of attractions designed for the smallest of swimmers. Roa’s Rapids is a not-so-lazy river that is best experienced wearing a life vest (inner tubes are not allowed) with a strong current that carries riders through twists turns, past geysers, and waterfalls, and through “speed zones.” Loggerhead Lane is a pretty standard lazy river, but offers exclusive views of the dolphin tank and a tropical aquarium. Finally, there are two distinct wave pools, Big Surf Shores and Cutback Cove. The name would suggest that Big Surf Shores would be the more advanced of the two wave pools, but it produces medium-sized, very regular waves, which Cutback Cove has larger, more organic waves that vary depending on where you are in the pool.

Guests also have a number of dining options ranging from snack bars to an all-you-care-to-eat buffet. The buffet includes assorted fruits, pudding, pasta salad, potato salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken wings, and assorted fountain beverages. For guests not wanting to go the buffet route, there are two other main restaurants, Mango Market with wood-fired pizzas and assorted cold cuts, and Waterstone Grill with hot sandwiches and wraps.

There are number of great things about Florida’s newest waterpark. The Dolphin Plunge is an experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Cutback Cove produces some of the most realistic surfing experiences in a wave pool. The Banana Beach Cookout is a great value for guests planning to eat two meals in the park or who may want to snack throughout the day.
